Sponsor Areas:
Listed below are the major areas Indiana FFA seeks support. Within each
area are specific programs that require support. If you have questions

Proficiency Award
Areas: The Indiana FFA
has 50 diverse proficiency areas designed to reward students for
outstanding Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) programs.
An SAE project allows students to apply the skills they learned in the
agriculture classroom to a real life situation. The cost of
sponsoring a one proficiency award area is $1,000.

Leadership Conferences:
Annually, Indiana FFA offers 7 leadership conferences for its members.
These conferences are focused around helping young people develop
essential leadership skills that can be applied and utilized throughout
ones lifetime. All conferences are held at the Indiana FFA
Leadership Center in Trafalgar, IN. The cost of sponsoring a
conference ranges from $1,000 - $5,000.

Career Development
Events: The purpose of Career Development Events (CDE’s) is to
assist students developing skills in a potential career area.
CDE’s also allow members the opportunity to test their skills in a
competitive format against other students. 42 CDE’s are available
for FFA members to compete in. The cost of sponsoring one Career
Development Event is $1,000.

State FFA Officer
Program: The State Officers are a team of seven FFA members
who dedicate a year of service to Indiana FFA members. As an
officer, they will travel approximately 30,000 miles individually across
Indiana promoting FFA and agriculture. Additionally, they will
develop and present six leadership conferences, facilitate Career
Development Events, and give workshops to FFA chapters throughout
Indiana. The total cost of supporting the State FFA Officer team
is $1,000 per week.

Special Events:
The Indiana FFA offers various special events to its members.
These include international travel opportunities, community service
initiatives, and scholarships. The annual budget for these special
events ranges from $1,000 to $8,000.

State FFA Convention:
Each June nearly 4,000 FFA members, advisors, and guest gather at
Purdue University for the State FFA Convention. This event is an
opportunity to recognize FFA members for their accomplishments
throughout the previous year. Additionally, members have the
opportunity to attend leadership workshops, hear from motivational
speakers, and explore career opportunities in the Trade Show.

Indiana FFA Leadership
Center: The Indiana FFA Leadership Center located in
Trafalgar, IN is the focal point for leadership development of the
nearly 10,000 Indiana FFA members. Constructed in1970, the
facility has served as the primary location for Indiana FFA leadership
conferences, selected career development events, and many special
functions of the organizations. Over 3,000 FFA members call the FFA
Leadership Center their training center every year. The facility
requires constant maintenance ensure a comfortable and peaceful
environment.
