Question: How
do I become an FFA member?
FFA is not a
"club." FFA is one of three components of an
agricultural education program. The local school district
determines whether or not an agricultural education program,
complete with an agriculture instructor, will be offered.
Students enrolled in a systematic course of instruction in
agricultural education are eligible for membership. Indiana
now offers middle school
membership and other states also provide collegiate membership.
Enrolling in an agriculture course of study and paying the dues is
all that is left to become an FFA member.
Question: How
much does it cost?
The annual
dues set by the National FFA Board of directors and the delegates is
$5.00 per year. The Indiana FFA Association dues are
$4.50 per year, and $0.50 goes to the district, which comes to a total of $10.00 per year for
membership dues. (additional charges may/will apply, according to
your chapter cost)
